Top 100 Multi-Level Marketing Companies

I LOVE BILL PARCELLS

Legendary football coach, Bill ‘Big Tuna” Parcell never minced any words.

When one of his talented teams was underperforming and had a 4-4 win-loss record a reporter asked why he felt ‘this obviously talented team’ was only 4-4.

Parcells lit into him with a now ‘classic’ line.

“You are what your record says you are.”

‘Yeah, but’…the reporter continued, citing the talent level of his team in comparison to others.

Parcell’s blew is stack, “How dumb are you?  What a waste of time.  Our record says what we are.  Period.  What part of that don’t you understand?”

It’s the same in our industry.  The record says who are the Top 100 Multi-Level Marketing Companies ~ Stats, Not Opinion.

Parcells follows with a disgusted gesture and the coach let them know he didn’t have time for more stupid questions.

I Need to Be Like Bill

Are you sick and tired of every Multi-Level Marketing ham’n’egger… posting in your social pages… with rude, dumb, boring approaches about garbage deals?

Something like this?

The Next Billion Dollar Company

“This Multi Level Marketing is the BIGGEST thing since XXXXXXXX”

“Don’t Miss the pre-pre-pre launch of the pre Launch…” (gimme a break, why don’t they just launch?)

“Millions Will be Made by those who get in early…”

“Over 1000 years experience on the management team, exclusive, double patented, triple trade-marked unique product… so secret no one knows what it is or what it does :-)”

“The owner has built SEVERAL BILLION Dollar Businesses… walks on water, can fly without a plane, doesn’t kick dogs and was asked to be Pope!”

ALWAYS LEADING TO THE SAME EXACT STATEMENT

This is going to be the next billion-dollar company…”

I’m going to start to quote  Big Tuna Parcells, “Your record says what you are.”

(BTW, the list just below of actual volume Top 98 companies did)

Facts Not Fiction

The truth is our industry has not seen a single new company start and get to a billion in annual sales since NuSkin.  We’re talking decades, folks…plus the inter-webbie thing.  And while a billion is still a lot, it’s nowhere near what it was when NuSkin turned the trick or Herbal Life a decade +/- earlier.

It occurs to me that people will join companies THIS MONTH like those on this list of Top 100 (Multi-Level Marketing Industry Stats) in sales, or other SOLID up and comers and make lots of money.  Yes with Primeamerica, Avon, Tupperware, Xango, Nuskin, etc…and make multiple six-figure incomes because they get it…not because they ‘found the next billion-dollar monster’.

Take Others To The Top

They take people to the Top with them.  They understand what the requirements are…

The main thing that we have to do is realize when we approach someone about our business we are going in through their dream chamber.

We are using their hopes, dreams, longings, and desires to motivate them to make a decision.  It’s a lot to risk…for them.
We are asking for trust, to trust we can give them the guidance to help them help themselves…and improve their life.

And we simply owe it to people to know, not only that the company is solid…but that we can teach them the skills help them take advantage of the opportunity.

To find out how to get more people to join you read this.

There are more good companies than the Top 100 listed here, but if they are not on this list we better make damn sure we do more than fall in love with an idea or read a website.  CHECK the companies you are considering out with 3rd parties, NOT just what the company has to say about itself and NOT what reps who signed up think.

If they are not publicly traded, you better do your homework before investing money and the dreams of others…real homework.

The correct thing to do is do 3rd party research (google’s great but not for this).  Get the facts if they are not on the list.
If someone tells you a company is well-capitalized, ask,

“What does that mean?”

“What outside source did you use?”

“Where can we verify that OUTSIDE the company and your upline?

Do your homework.

Top 100 Multi-Level Marketing Companies ~ Stats, Not Opinion

I root for all of them…success stories in the industry are good for all of us.   But the phrase ‘next billion-dollar company’ will tell you the person you are talking to ‘bought’ in hook-line-and-sinker and doesn’t know enough about the industry for you to place the dreams of your and others there.

1. Are they registered with DSA?  It is a BALD FACE LIE that companies have to wait 2 years.  They can get DSA’d up to 6 months before they open.  Anyone tells you otherwise, they are lying or believed a lie.  Either way, don’t put your faith in their ‘research.’

2. Check with BBB

3. If you’ve got a friend who can get a D&B run, do it.

Here are the Top 98 in 2010 and exactly what the revenue was…

About the Author

  • Mark,
What a fabulous list. Thanks for going to all the work to put it together. You’re so right; we need to know the facts. This list will be a big help.

    Connie

  • Impressive List. You hit on all of the biggies. I am glad Xango made the list. Number 49 closer to the top.

  • So, roughly 60 Billion Dollars made by the top 100. Add up all the others and you could most likely double that number.

I think there is room for you too.

    Sincerely,
    Bruce Nelkin

  • Wow Thanks Mark it was great to see where my company is on the list, your the best always giving what we need to learn. Thanks for opening my eyes and helping me with network marketing. Enjoy your day.

  • Mark
I have a hunch that most of these companies got to where they are because of the people… you know, the ones you mentioned a week or so ago, the ones that got out there and built the business based on skills, and not by wearing people down with long presentations or drawn out telephone conversations.
    Great stuff once again.
    Doug Karnuth

  • Hi Mark, I have seen this list before. I am glad my company is in the pack. Now I have thankfully learned the skills from you and can be proud to be with a great company who will be around a long time. Thanks, Sue

  • Hi Mark, thanks for sharing this, it’s very valuable to me. I look forward to Go90Grow launch. Definitely need all the skills you will be teaching us.

  • Hey Mark, I was one of those people who use to look at list and based on where a company ranked actually thought my chances were better in reaching my financial goals based on the numbers presented above. I don’t think a person should make a decision based on the fact that the company ranked in the top 100. Even if you got on board with the #1 company on the list your chances are slim in making money if your like most people who don’t have the skills to run a mlm business. Even people in the best companies in the world can fail this month while other people in companies not listed here can make over $10,000 this month. Why, it’s skills baby. It all comes down to one thing, Skills. Most companies will sell the distributor on the dream. The worlds laziest networker will teach you the skills you need to succeed no matter what company your with. Can’t wait for the launch of Go90Grow that will show distributors the skills they’ve been missing.

  • Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such magnificent info being shared freely out there.

  • it’s attitude more than skills, my dear. I’m so glad and proud to be a USANA distributor. God bless and all the best to all of us, networkers!

  • Great Information! Thanks!!

    A few questions:
    1) What is the total size of the MLM industry? $120 billion?
    2) What is the estimate of the total number of Sales Representatives currently signed up to MLM companies?

    Thanks,

That is a Great list thank you for all the effort to compile it. When can we expect an update?
    I recently started with LifeVantage.
timing is ground floor, product is exclusive, comp plan looks great, Training and system are in place. TARGET is $1 Billion company in 3 years. DSA says we are the 2nd fastest growing company.
I am looking to be successful with this company Network Marketing is not for the weak that is for certain.
Persistence and a thick skin required – Rhinohide.

Are there any tips or strategies you can suggest that you found successful in your laziness as a network marketer ?

  • Very interesting and useful informations! Thank you very much Mark. I work with number 42 ( 5th in Europe 🙂 ) which is LR health& Beauty Systems. After almost 2 years I finally got the idea of how thinks must be done in order to earn money from MLM 🙂 Better later than never , no?! 🙂 I must say that I do not know much about the rest of the companies ( beside Oriflame, Amway and Forever) but I really think my company is one of the most serious, with high ethical standards and top quality products. best of luck to all working with MLM .

  • Glad to see you Avon on the top of your list. All of these companies are pretty good. You just have to find a company with good products that you are passionate about. It also makes sense to team up with a company that has been around five or ten years or more.

    Chuck

  • I don’t think it’s skill. To me it’s more effort than anything else. Putting I. The work and being dedicated. Working for the dream makes the dream come to fruition.

  • If you are dedicated to making a pound cake…..and use a pound of salt, a pound of flour and a pound of butter….you’ll never have a pound cake….determination without skills is the folly of MLMers who buy into the “don’t quit” nonsense….Not quitting has nothing to do with winning…..

  • Sweet blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News. Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in
Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Thanks

with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
